Description

Crossco® 5500™ is a water-based, 100% acrylic, elastomeric roof waterproofing coating. It is a single-component, high-solids product with excellent coverage for waterproofing roofs and walls. Crossco® 5500™ does not crack, harden, peel, or crumble even when exposed to severe weather changes. It reflects sunlight and reduces internal temperature. When applied as specified, this product helps reduce energy costs.

Application

The surface must be clean and dry for proper adhesion. Damaged or loose roof parts should be repaired before applying the coating. Items such as drainage holes, air conditioning units, heating systems, and exhaust vents should be protected during application. Choose a clear and sunny day. Do not apply after 3:00 PM or at low temperatures. Apply only at temperatures above 50°F. Ensure it is protected from rain for at least six hours after application.

Apply with a thick-nap roller or an airless spray system. Pour the product onto the surface and spread it evenly at the recommended coverage rate. Drying time depends on thickness, humidity, and temperature. Do not walk on the sealer for at least 24 hours after application and apply in opposite directions. Do not dilute this product. Clean equipment and rollers with water and soap.
